We get it, scam calls are annoying. Luckily, we’ve partnered with NOMOROBO to help avoid these calls.
How Does It Work?
When Nomorobo is enabled, a simultaneous ring number is the first line of defense. This number activates the Nomorobo protection to screen the call. If it’s a legitimate call, the call goes through to your number. If the call is an illegal robocaller, Nomorobo intercepts the call and hangs up for you. Your phone will ring once letting you know that the robocall has been answered and stopped.
How Does It Know Which Calls to Block?
Nomorobo utilizes a MASSIVE database of known, illegal robocallers, that we've compiled with the help of the FTC, user reports, and our own call data. The blacklist contains over 1.2 Million robocallers and grows every single day.
What Happens When A Call Is Blocked?
When a call is blocked, a "message" is given saying Nomorobo has blocked the call.
Will It Block 'Good' Robocalls?
No, your doctor's office, pharmacy prescription reminders, school closings, weather advisories, local municipalities, reverse 911, emergency calls, etc will all come through to you as normal. The only numbers that are blocked are reported, illegal robocallers.
